First Youth Empowerment Seminar! in Khayelitsha
Last month 35 enthusiastic youth participated in the first YES! course to take place in Khayelitsha.
Some of the comments about the course read:
"YES! brings back the unity of different people, cultures, beliefs and religions to form the word UBUNTU… the course gave me the confindence to believe in myself and to believe that I can make anything possible" Asiphe, 14
"I feel like I am closer to my destination now. I have attended many courses and workshops but this course is powerful. You call it YES, I call it a life-changing course."
Sonwabile, 18
"This course has changed a part of me because when I first came here I did not believe in God. And I didn’t have much guts to make new friends… this has all changed."
Ondela 15
"This course was joyful… it was the anti-dote to my unwilling to forgive side. Now I am able to open my heart to strangers… this was like a journey for me." Andisiwe 15
"I loved the whole course. It made me realize so many things about my body and my soul and how it works… The happiness that I found here is perfect. I also learned how to deal with anger" Mongezi 17
"The course was a totally mesmerizing experience that changed my entire life and the way I do things. It was a rebirth for my inside identity and my mind too… for me I don’t think there are any intractable situations.. the course really brings out the best in everyone who is willing to learn" ",1]

"The course was enjoyable and a lot of fun. I especially liked the Sudarshan Kriya that let me feel like I am an empty box with nothing inside… I really liked the course… Big Time"
